Love Seen - Message Heard

"Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourself fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain" (1 Cor.15:58).

Maybe you have seen the small child approach to something they don't want to hear. They will put their hands over their ears and shout; "I can't hear you, I'm not listening...... I can't hear you, I'm not listening!" At least the kids are open about their choices, because in the adult world, we call it "selective hearing." As mature adults, you probably have no idea about this at all... "For Ezra had devoted himself to the study and observance of the Law of the Lord, and to teaching its decrees and laws to Israel" (Ezra 7:10). Ezra did not fake it. He knew that if he was to teach the principles of God's Law that he must study and live them. Before we can teach others about Jesus, we must live out the gospel in our lives! If we don't, people will revert to that selective hearing thing... We can't share a Snickers Bar with someone if we don't have one. Conversely, to share the good news, we must be the good news. If the best argument for Christianity is not Christians, what is there to share? We should exude joy, certainty, and a completeness that cannot be mistaken for anything else. On the flip side, the best argument against Christianity can also be Christians. If we are joyless and somber, why would someone want to be like us? If we are smug, self-righteous, or complacent, our witness becomes just a resounding gong... The Lord's plan for reaching the lost is the same today as it was 2,000 years ago. Good people spreading good news... If love is seen, the messge is heard...

Have a great day... Do good...Give God the glory... Love mark Phil.4:11
