Who's Responsible

"It marks a big step in a man's development when he comes to realize that other men can be called on to help him do a better job than he can do alone." Andrew Carnegie

I used to tell this joke about myself. (feel free to use it) "I'm a very responsible person..... Whenever anything goes wrong, everyone says: 'He's responsible.' " As Christians, we are called upon to be responsible people.... (not like in the joke).... "So that there be no division in the body, but that the members may have the same care for one another " (1 Cor.12:25). The apostle Paul goes on in the next verse about rejoicing with those who rejoice and suffering with those who suffer. In a nutshell, we are to have a genuine and heartfelt concern for one another. Paul was appreciative of the work done by the brethren in Thessalonica when he wrote; "Thanks be to God for all of you, making mention of you in our prayers; constantly bearing in mind your work of faith and labor of love and steadfastness of hope ......" Paul is telling us to be appreciative the the work that others do, and when appropriate, be sure to let it be known. He used the working of a human body to get another important point across... "And the eye cannot say to the hand, 'I have no need of you.'" (1 Cor.12:21). He is saying in very succinct terms that within the church there should always be a spirit of cooperation. There should always be the attitude of desiring to work together to get things accomplished. Andrew Carnegie also said: "Coming together is a beginning, keeping together is progress, working together is success." Let me lay on you some attributes that will help us all to feel the responsibility to work together for success.... Warmth and friendliness.... gentleness and meekness.... patience, kindness, and forgiveness.... If we wrap all of these with the bond of love, I believe that togetherness will follow...

Have a great day... Christians should make a difference.... Love mark Phil.4:11
