Claim Fulfilled - What a Mighty God We Serve

"For I did not speak of my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it. I know that his command leads to eternal life. So whatever I say is just what the Father has told me to say" (Jn.12:49-50).

I wrote about anticipation and expectation yesterday... Today, lets take a look at some of those claims of Messiahship that Jesus made and fulfilled. Jesus laid claim to being a prophet, just as had been predicted in the days of Moses, and certainly fulfilled that claim completely. In Messianic prophesies found in the Psalms and Isaiah of one who would be the eternal king, anointed one, and Mighty God, Jesus fulfilled that expectation. The prophet Micah predicted one who would be a preexistent king and Shepherd, and Jesus is the embodiment of that. There is a prediction made by the prophet Jeremiah of a Savior and King. One whom we grant absolute authority and ruler ship in our lives. Jesus is all of that. Lastly, the Prophet Zechariah foretold of a priest on His throne... In order to get to the Father, we must go through that priest, Jesus Christ. In His short life on earth, Jesus claimed to be all of these things that were predicted by the prophets hundreds of years before His birth. He claimed to be the fulfillment and embodiment of all the Messianic expectations. In his days, some people wondered out loud... "Here he is, speaking publicly, and they are not saying a word to him. Have the authorities really concluded that he is the Christ?" (Jn.7:26). That statement and question has come down through the corridors of time to this very day. I guess the big deal for us is this: Do we actually demonstrate in our lives that we believe that Jesus is our Messiah. We must accept Him as God, King, Shepherd, Savior, and Priest.. If we do not, we deny all the claims that Jesus made... For me... Claim Fulfilled... What a Mighty God We Serve... How about you....

Have a wonderful day... Do good, give Him the credit and glory... Love mark Phil.4:11
