Keep The Faith Baby

"The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me" (Gal.2:20).

Please pardon my title, as the 60s/70s must have got the best of me for a moment. If we are to live a life of faith, we can never be ashamed to admit to people that we believe in Jesus Christ. Today's verse speaks about the way we all ought to live our lives. It says that we should conduct ourselves with an unwavering trust in Jesus. This trust entails clinging to the works of our Lord, and remembering that his death was truly for our sins. It is to believe in his words, and to live our lives accordingly. A life of faith is one in which we seek to live in harmony with Jesus' teachings. "May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit" (Rom.15:13). A life of faith is not without it's perks. This verse tells us that we will enjoy the great blessings of hope, joy, peace, and power within this life of faith. Though the primary concern with a rich life of faith is eternal life, we do not go unrewarded in this life. Lastly, there is that all important maintenance. We need to always be strong in this faith so that no matter what happens, we will always stand tall in our belief. As we maintain this faith, the apostle Peter gives us some important advice to live by. "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love" (2 Pet.1:5-7). He says that if we add all these things to our faith that we will not be "ineffective and unproductive in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ" (V8). So... Keep the faith baby....

Have a great start to your week. Begin it with a RAK or two.... Love mark Phil.4:11
