A Need For Peace With God

Peace.... "The absence of hostility, the absence of mental stress or anxiety... A state of tranquility and harmony."

Not everyone enjoys the type of peace described in the definition above. I can firmly attest that Jesus came to bring peace into the world. This peace that Jesus offers entails a great many things. I have read a saying on some church signs that goes like this.... "No God, no peace... Know God, know peace." Jesus is able to make peace with God possible. "Therefore, since we are justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand" (Rom.5:1-2). This justification means that we have been declared "not guilty." This comes through our grace and redemption in Jesus. "And are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came through Jesus Christ" (Rom.3:24). Through our obedient faith in Jesus, God is able to be our justifier. What Jesus did on the cross makes all of this possible. Our Justification through our faith in Christ leads to peace with God. Because of this wonderful peace, we have the ability to rejoice, knowing that the Lord is always just a prayer away. We can exhort one another with this all encompassing belief.... "And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus..." (Phil.4:7). The Hebrew word for peace is Shalom... The Greek word is Eirene... I wish you Shalom and Eirene this morning...

Have a great start to your week. Begin it with a RAK or two... Love mark Phil.4:11
