The Blessing Today

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ" (Eph.1:3).

"The Lord bless you and keep you. The Lord make His face to shine on you, and be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His countenance on you, And give you peace" (Num.6:24-26). I love these verses so much, that I wanted to use them one more time. The verses applied to the blessing that Aaron, as the high priest, and his sons were to confer on the children of Israel, but they can be for us too. The Lord does desire to bless us today! As today's verse tells us, those blessings come through Jesus Christ. The blessings come to those described in the beatitudes of Matt.5:3-12, and are described by Jesus in Matt.6:25-32. As in the days of Aaron, there is a condition that must be met. "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matt.6:33). God also wants to make His face to shine on us and be gracious to us today. As sure as these spiritual blessings come through Jesus, so is God's grace manifested though His Son. "For the Law was given through Moses; grace and truth were realized through Jesus Christ" (Jn.1:17). He wants to shine His favor on us, but it is imperative that we do not receive it vainly. I find it sad that when all of this is available, that so few accept His grace. Finally, the Lord wants to lift His countenance upon us and give us peace today also. "Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Rom.5:1). It comes through Jesus... Lets make sure that we constantly pray for this wonderful peace and freedom from anxiety that is found in Him.. "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which passes all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" (Phil.4:6-7). Lets be sure to accept the priestly blessing that is offered to us. We will not be sorry...

Have a great day... Make a difference... Love mark Phil.4:11
