How To Find The Favor Like Noah

"Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly beloved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave Himself up as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God" (Eph.5;1).

If you "google" "finding favor in the sight of God," our buddy Noah (Gen.6:8) will show up. If we want to be those with whom God finds favor, Noah had the blueprint... First we need to be just in God's sight. The real good news for us is that God sent Jesus to us for just that purpose. He gives us the opportunity to righteous in that we can be forgiven in His sight. This is a wonderful blessing that is available to all those who have a true faith. Next on the list is that we must be perfect in our generation. I believe that this means that we need to grow and mature so that we can be everything that God wants us to be, confident that the providence of God will lead us on. Today's verse provides the clue for the next attribute. We have to walk with God... We have to imitate Jesus in our words and actions, meaning that we can no longer walk the way non-believers walk. Using God's Word as a "lamp unto our feet" (Psa.119:105) will guide us along the path we must follow. Jesus lets us know the next thing on the list of finding God's favor. "and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you" (Matt.28:20). We must do all that the Lord has commanded. We find favor this way in that we demonstrate that our faith is a living and viable one. Finally, we must be preachers of righteousness... It is not enough to just claim to be Christians, but we must live it at all times. It is the Lord's will that we are the ones who proclaim his righteousness. I believe we do this most succinctly by example, as we live a life that has been transformed by Him. The same recipe that worked for Noah in finding favor in God's eyes can work for us too. Its a good plan...

Have a great day... Make your little part of the world better... Love mark Phil.4:11
