Feel The Need - The Need To Obey

"For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous" (Rom.2:13).

I got another interpretation of RAK yesterday, and this from my niece.. I started with random, then added routine, and now I have been informed of the Righteous Act of Kindness... If you know another one, please share it with me... To say that the apostle Paul emphasized obedience would be an overwhelming understatement as we can see from today's verse. Throughout his letters, Paul literally exuded a fervent and unbridled passion for obedience to God. Phil.3:4-8 would be good verses to read and meditate upon today. In those scriptures, Paul lets us know what he sacrificed in his obedience and service of the Lord... To capsulize it, he said that everything he had or owned was of no value when compared to his desire to serve God. In his life before Jesus, Paul had it all... Wealth, prestige, fame and respect were all his, but he considered them rubbish when compared to the riches of a life in Jesus Christ. They were all useless without grace and salvation.. For whatever reason that spurred him on to this diligent obedience, his words and actions emphasized their importance. King Solomon was perhaps the wisest and richest man of his day, but in the Book of Ecclesiastes he came up with this wise statement... "Here is the conclusion of the matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man" (12:13). It is in obedience that we find the true meaning of love, grace, and salvation. If we are to even have the hope of being a holy person, it begins with our obedience to God. It lets God know that we have humbled ourselves in His sight and wish to one day be exalted.. Holy people are God's obedient people... Lets make sure that we measure up.

Have a great day... A few Righteous Acts of Kindness would be good.... Love mark Phil.4:11
