See Ourselves As The Farmer

"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up" (Gal.6:9).

Can you imagine a farmer that gave up on the laws of nature regarding the sowing and reaping principles? Just pause for a moment to consider the scenario. The farmer has done all the work in preparing his land and at the right time he plants his seeds. He does all the work to get the plants growing which includes watering and fertilizing, and makes sure that weeds don't choke out the plants. After weeks and weeks of hard work, the farmer throws up his hands and says that he doesn't think the laws of nature about sowing and reaping will work this year, so he quits right there! Hmmmm... Those who work with living, growing things, often know the most about patience and trust. In actuality, the farmer gives and gives and gets nothing in return.... Until the harvest... The farmer can never lose sight of the process that has proven itself over and over again. He must never lose confidence in agricultural principles that have proven their trustworthiness... Can you just imagine the farmer who looked at his fields in an ungrateful manner because he worked so long and they never gave anything back until the harvest? It would be good for us to read and meditate upon Gal.6:7-10, so that we can learn how to become the good farmers of life. We all want to reap that great harvest one day, but it takes a lot of work, trust, and patience... "Be patient, then, brothers, until the Lord's coming. See how the farmer waits for the land to yield its valuable crop and how patient he is for the autumn and spring rains..." (Jas.5:7). We need to cultivate both the patience and trust of the farmer... The harvest is worth it...

Have a great start to your week... Begin it with a RAK or two... Love mark Phil.4:11
