Grace's Provision

As small children, we had needs that we could not provide for ourselves. Those needs were provided to us by our loving parents. Yesterday we saw that we, as sinners, were in need of God's grace for salvation. As His children, God provides it for us. So to satisfy His justice, mercy, and love, God has graciously provided salvation for us. He has accomplished this through His Son, Jesus Christ. What we need, but cannot earn, God has provided. A wellspring of a verse for us is found in the familiar Jn.3:16... Because God loved us, Jesus was given to us. "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent His Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins" (1 Jn.4:10). Some Bible translation use the term "propitiation" instead of atoning sacrifice. Jesus was actually a sacrifice designed to appease, as he died for our sins, one time for all... After the apostle Paul writes that all have sinned an fallen short of God's glory, he writes this: "and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus" (Rom.3:24). As Jesus paid the ransom for us, we were released from the guilt of sin, with its liability for judgement, and delivered from its slavery... God recognizes the death of Jesus on the cross as a suitable ransom for our sins. Our service to Him is our recognition that we are grateful for all that He has done for us, and that our salvation has been paid completely. It is up to each of us to live our lives as as those grateful recipients of this wonderful gift....

Have a wonderful day... Lets all make a difference... Love mark Phil.4:11
