And the Skies Are Not Cloudy All Day

"Even though we speak like this, dear friends, we are confident of better things in your case ---- things that accompany salvation" (Heb.6:9). Lets take a look today into some of the arenas in which we can be of encouragement to one another. A great way to uplift someone is to express confidence in them. It is both good for us and others when we believe the best in them and are willing to express it. In the apostle Paul's famous chapter about love in the Book of First Corinthians, he said; "It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres" (13:7). It will always buoy others when we let them know that we have a confidence in them that includes protection, trust, hope and perseverance.. Look at the confidence that Paul had in Philemon... "Confident of your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I ask" (V 21). Another area in which we can be of encouragement to one another is in gratitude. People, including ourselves, perform their best when they know that they are appreciated. Is there a better felling in the world than to know that others are thankful for us? Paul would certainly chastise when necessary, but to truly get people motivated to continue in the work, he would express his gratitude for them... "We always thank God for all of you, mentioning you in our prayers. We continually remember before God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ" (1 Thess.1:2-3). When Paul started his letter out that way, do you think they were uplifted and inspired, or what... Please remember this.... In order to be fully appreciated, gratitude must be not only sincerely felt, but it needs to be expressed. A couple of more ways to encourage tomorrow... Don't forget to be thinking of some of your own...

Have a great day.... Make your little part of the world better... Love mark Phil.4:11
