Haters Gonna Hate

"But whoever blasphemes against the Holy Spirit will never be forgiven, he is guilty of an eternal sin. He said this because they were saying, 'He has an evil spirit'" (Mk.3:29-30).

No matter how popular someone is, he will always have haters and detractors. If you are a sports fan, you know that we feel this way about the rivals of our favorite team. The players on that team we do not like have not necessarily done anything wrong except for being on the team that we don't like. Today's verses are a culmination of Jesus be confronted by the religious leaders of the day. Jesus was having such an impact in Galilee that they sent representatives there to check him out. When they got there, they were stumped! Jesus' teachings were challenging the way religion had evolved in Israel, and He was doing things that no one before Him was able to do. He was healing people left and right and claiming to be able to forgive sins. If this guy was the Messiah, He was a threat to the religious leaders way of life. Instead of reading the Messianic prophecies and accepting the miracles as from God, that got what they thought must have been a brilliant idea. They attributed Jesus' miracles to Satan. Jesus could not be discredited just on the basis that He was not like them, and could do things they could not, and their strategy backfired badly. As we fast/forward 2,000 years, people are still trying to explain away Jesus' miracles and teachings Some do it out of fear and others simply don't want to give their lives to Him. As Christians, we are able to look at this in very concise and simple terms.... Don't try to explain Jesus' miracles or His teachings. Take them for what they are, and then give your whole life to Him...

Have a great day... Make your little part of the world better... Love mark Phil.4:11
