The Sign Of Hope Along The Way

"But in your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give a reason for the hope you have" (1 Pet.3:15).

Hope is a definite sign that the Lord sets before us... As we can see from today's verse, there is a great value in this hope, and it can prompt people to ask questions. As Christians, we ought to be people just brimming with hope, and it can provide us with the opportunity to share our reason for it... As I presume that our hope is really a great one, it ought to be noticeable, prompting people to ask, "Why?" I think it is great because it is based upon reason, that being the evidences of our faith. One of the cool things about hope is that it has company. You might want to read and meditate on Rom.5:1-5 today. In these passages we find that hope is accompanied by peace and joy (Vs.1-2).. It is as firm as a rock, even in difficult times (Vs 3-4).. Lastly, it is based on the love of God (V 5).. The apostle Peter explains that all of these blessings are based upon the resurrection of Jesus in 1 Pet.1:3-4... Finally, hope is so important that the Holy Spirit led Peter to set it fully on the grace to come... "Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given to you when Jesus Christ is revealed" (1 Pet.1:13). It is so powerful, that it led Peter to issue the command found in today's verse, that Christians should always be prepared to explain their hope... If our hope is what it should be, it will be a honor and privilege to explain it...

Have a wonderful day... Go about doing good... Love mark Phil.4:11
