Serving With A Pure Heart

"The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him" (Matt.12:35).

Our goal as people of influence, ought to be to purify our hearts so that we will serve with a pure heart. We should want to be more Christ-like so that we will be transformed into God's glory, grow into Jesus' stature, and develop His holiness... Our hope of being in the likeness of God should motivate us to cleanse our hearts of impurities. "Everyone who has this hope in Him, purifies himself, just as he is pure" (1 Jn.3;3). Today's verse tells us that the heart is the center of inner self, and has the ability to bring forth both good and evil thoughts and actions. Jesus tells us quite plainly (Matt.15:19) that sinful practices come from the evil that exists in folk's hearts. It should be our goal, therefore, to put and keep righteousness in that heart, so that we will be spurred on to do those things that are good and proper. Fairy dust is not magically sprinkled on our hearts to get them this way. We must guard them constantly so that they will motivate us to do good things. It is in this way that we can be the lights that shine to others that Jesus wants us to be. If we are able to accomplish this, our lives, and the lives of others will be enriched. Because of our pure hearts, they may see in us, living examples of God's very nature that can touch their lives... Lets all try to serve with that pure heart...

Have a great day... Let His light shine through you.... Love mark Phil.4:11
