A Good Teacher

"Suddenly, when they looked around, they no longer saw anyone with them except Jesus" (Mk.9:8).

A good teacher knows that students often ask questions that have no immediate and quick answers. About six days after Peter's confession, Jesus took him along with James and John up on to a mountain where what we have come to know as the transfiguration took place. One can only imagine what was swirling around the disciples minds as they they saw what took place. There were probably so many things that they did not understand followed by questions to which the answers made no sense. Sometimes students want to know what they are not ready to assimilate just yet. Jesus, the master teacher, was seeing the disciples trying to go from point "A" to point "E" without understanding B, C, and D.... They probably had preconceived notions about who the Messiah was to be when they became followers of Jesus. In that Jesus did not fill that image, He had to reorient them. Here is where we all come in. Through the blessing of God's inspired Word, we can traverse from point A to E and come to understand what is in between, We can know that Jesus is the Messiah who came to save the world from sin... We can understand that Jesus was much greater than Elijah and Moses, and that as the Son of God, His teachings can guide us through life and on a pathway to heaven. The Good Teacher guides his students on a learning curve until they reach a point where the evidence leads them to the truth. Jesus is that Good Teacher...

Have a great day... Go about doing good... Love mark Phil.4:11
