Princess Summerfall Winterspring

"As long as the earth endures, seed time and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease" (Gen.10:22).

As a very young child, one of the first programs that I watched on our tiny black and white TV was The Howdy Doody Show. They had a catchy jingle and an odd collection of characters, some human and some marionettes like Howdy himself. One of the strange characters was an Indian princess. Her name was my title today, and my guess that her purpose to introduce children to our Native American past. This is a segue into the seasons of life that God has given to us. Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter comprise the physical seasons, but there are many, many more seasons of life... We are all kind of open-air arenas as we go through different seasons of our lives. Here is what I find intriguing as we compare these seasons of life to the actual seasons... No matter where we live, we are all in the Autumn season. That notwithstanding, there is a real and distinct possibility that people around us are are in different seasons of life than we are. When we visit someone in a hospital or a nursing home, they are certainly in different seasons than we are. Because of this, we must understand the season they are in and adjust our behavior in accordance with it... When we are working with someone, it is important to know that they are going through a certain season of life that may be very different than the one we are in. One of the reasons that people don't have the attitude we may expect them to have, is all about the season. With this in mind, aren't we grateful and thankful that we have God's Word? It helps to remind us that God works through all the seasons of our lives. He uses each and every season to teach us something and to communicate to us something about Himself. Something about His faithfulness, something about His love in sending His Son, something about His strength and power... More about the seasons tomorrow...

Have an awesome day... Do good and give God the credit... Love mark Phil.4:11
