Stewards Of The Mystery

"Of this church I was made a minister according to the stewardship from God bestowed on me for your benefit, so that I might fully carry out the preaching of the Word of God, that is, the mystery which has been hidden from the past ages and generations, but has now been manifested to His saints, to whom God willed to make known what is the riches and glory of this mystery among the Gentiles, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" (Col.1:25-27).

As Christians, we have a second great responsibility. It is to be not only servants of Christ, but to be stewards of the mysteries of God. It is both a great responsibility and an awesome honor... Has God been holding stuff out from us? What's this about a mystery? The apostle Paul explains the mysteries in today's verses... We should glean from these verses that the glory of this mystery is the truth that Christ lives in us! Not just this, but that He is our hope of glory. Until the time that Paul wrote and ministered, God had not revealed this mystery. People did not know that Christ would one day live in them..."I have been crucified with Christ; and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself up for me" (Gal.2:20). The mystery is a great and profound one ---- . Its not simply that Christ dwells in me, but that He actually lives His life out in my life. By His wonderful Spirit, Christ truly lives in me. The verse from the Book of Galatians says that the life that I live is a life of faith in the Son of God... He is the One who loves me and gave up His life for me. The greatness in this enables me to live my life in His power and in the sure and wonderful hope of glory. With this, we now have an eternal perspective. It constrained Peter to write this: "After you have suffered a little while, the God of all grace, who has called you into His eternal glory in Christ, will Himself restore, confirm, strengthen, and establish us" (1 Pet.5:10). Fantastic! Just a bit more about this tomorrow...

Have a wonderful day... Do good and give God the credit... Love mark Phil.4:11
