Enter With Thanksgiving

"Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth. Serve the Lord with gladness; come before His presence with joyful singing. Know that the Lord Himself is God; it is He that has made us, and not we ourselves: We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter His gates with THANKGIVING and His courts with praise. Give thanks to Him and bless His name. For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations" (Psa.100).

Around the Thanksgiving season, it is common to think of the things we are grateful for. I think the season just brings it out of us... Like you, I'm sure that my list will include the major things.... life, health, family, and friends all come to mind. Even more than those, are we all grateful for our wonderful relationship with God through Jesus Christ? I pray that we are all especially thankful for our salvation... That we are all thankful for our church family that lifts us up and encourages us to climb to new heights of service. That we are thankful for the mercy that God sheds on us each day... The knowledge that with Jesus, every day is Thanksgiving... The 100th Psalm was written for the children of Israel. God had told them that when they entered the promised land and settled down in their comfortable homes with plenty to eat, not to forget Him. Maybe the 100th Psalm was written to a people that needed a reminder, and perhaps God had you and I in mind too. The message of thanksgiving is so deep and wide that it applies to every person in every era, in every stage of life. We might notice that the Psalm begins with all the earth, and ends with to all generations... Lets make sure that our thanks revolves around what we have in the Lord and not stuff we've accumulated... The Psalmist says that these things may change at any time and the great assurance we possess is our relationship with the Lord... A bit more about this tomorrow...

Have a great day... Sorry I was "computerless" yesterday, I'll try to do better.... Let His light shine through you.... Love mark Phil.4:11
