Its All About His Glory

"And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve Him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every motive behind the thoughts. If you seek Him, He will be found by you; but if you forsake Him, He will reject you forever" (1 Chron.28:9).

If we are going to do anything for God, His presence has to be real and fresh in our daily life. In today's verse, King David gives some advice to his son Solomon. Now I know that the advice is in relationship to the building of the Temple, but the advice goes even farther than that. David wants Solomon to serve Him with wholehearted devotion and a willing mind.... God wants us to walk in His Word, so he can fulfill His purpose in us. This calls for us to submit ourselves totally and completely to God by doing His will... Why? For no other reason than because it is His will... It is then that our life will become a special tool that He can use to change other's lives and to make a difference in the world for the kingdom of God. When we walk as Jesus wants us to walk, we are not only a tool but a vessel that will be fit for The Master's use... If we live our lives this way, it brings glory to Him. Through us, His glory can be used to change the lives of folks who are hurting for a Savior. David told Solomon that there was a reason for the wholehearted devotion and willing mind... It revolves around the fact that God knows every motive, even those in our hearts. He is waiting to be found, but if we forsake, rejection follows... As I complete this small series on doing the right thing, here's the conclusion.. We must do the right thing; We must do it for the right reason... that God will be glorified, through Jesus Christ, in our lives...

Have a wonderful day... Do Good... Give God the credit... Love mark Phil.4:11
