Restoration Down The Right Path

"He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake" (Psa.23:2-3).

In the 15th chapter of the Book of Luke (Vs 4-7), we have the wonderful parable of the Lost Sheep... In it, the Shepherd leaves the ninety nine of his one hundred sheep to go and find the one that is lost. "And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders and goes home. He then calls his neighbors together and says, 'rejoice with me; I have found the lost sheep'" (Vs.5-6). As the Shepherd restores the lost one, so God restores our souls when we are weary, discouraged or lost. Through our prayers and the Word, His unbelievable restorative powers are turned loose. It is then that the Lord wants us to travel down the right path... "He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake." In Jn.10:1-18, Jesus tells us of The Good Shepherd who leads his sheep. One of the reasons that they follow him is because they know his voice... Great men in the Bible like Job who retains his faith, Moses who leads a new nation, John who writes from the lonely island of Patmos, and Paul who boldly fights for Christianity have this one thing in common. They recognize the Word of the Lord, and follow it. The Lord speaks to us every time we pick up our Bibles, wanting to guide us down those paths of righteousness. Jesus says; "And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age" (Matt.28:30). Finally, God says this; "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you" (Heb.13:5). Lets all allow the Lord to restore our souls and guide us down the paths of righteousness...

Have a great day... Do good and give God the credit... Love mark Phil.4:11
