God's Goodness - His Providential Care And Precious Promises

"I can do nothing on My own initiative. As I hear, I judge; and My judgment is just, because I do not seek My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me" (Jn.5:30)..

Though Jesus was confronted with every enticement known to man, Heb.4:15 concludes with these words; "yet was without sin..." The "Son of Man" aspect of Jesus lets us know that from a supernatural standpoint, He had no advantage over us. Yet, Jesus was able to succeed in not sinning, while many of us fail. Jesus' divine powers were for the express purposes of confirming his identity and message. "Jesus of Nazareth was a man accredited by God to you by miracles, wonders and signs, which God did among you through him..." (Acts 2:22). But in his daily living as a flesh and blood human being, he was like us in every way. So just how are we to ascertain what Jesus' sinless perfection was attributable to? Today's verse tells us the first way. In all things, Jesus was in complete submission to the Father. When in the physical word we try to accomplish something that is outside our skillset, we often fail. This computer that I am using to send this message is an example. My knowledge in this area is limited, so when I face something I do not understand, I defer to an expert. We struggle with sin when we rely too much on our own strength and wisdom. In today's verse, Jesus freely admitted that I can do nothing on My own initiative... When he acted, it was always at the will of his Father. We would do well to follow his example. We'll look at some other ways that Jesus resisted sin tomorrow...

Have a great day... Do good and give God the credit.... Love mark Phil.4:11
