Some More Advice About Resisting Temptations

"Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in the time of need" (Heb.4:16)

As we conclude this week's series of devotionals about resisting temptations, lets take a look at a few more important things. These are available to us if we want to take advantage of them... Jesus was always in the synagogues. We have a chance to meet with other Christians each first day of the week for worship and Bible study.(Lk.4:16)... Filling our lives with service to others (Matt.20:28) is a way to make our time more meaningful... Wholesome associations (Jn.2:1-2 & 12:1-2) allows us to lift up and be lifted up by others... Instead of simply relying on Himself, Jesus' life epitomized an unconditional and observable love for God and his fellow man (Lk.2:52 & 10:27)... We can do this too. Temptations will always be around us, but Jesus showed us the way they can be conquered, and clearly demonstrated how... If we are genuinely interested and committed in walking as he walked, we will divest ourselves of those things that would impede us like laziness, pride, and selfishness... Each day opens up to us new ways to be more Christ-like. Because Jesus showed us the way through His sinless life, we can take today's verse as a personal credo... Therefore let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in the time of need.

Have a great day... T G I F Today God Is First.... Love mark Phil.4:11
