Peace Through Prayer, Love And Good Relationships

"Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May they prosper who love you. May peace be within your walls, and prosperity within your palaces. For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will now say 'May peace be within you.' For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your good" (Psa.122:6-9).

As we complete this series about peace (happiness) and prosperity, I would like to look at three more things that are found in Psalm 122. It is quite clear to me from verse six, that peace is directly linked to prayer. Those that love the Lord are in constant contact with Him through prayer. This is reinforced through one of my favorite scriptures found in the book of Philippians... "Be anxious in nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be known to God. And the peace which surpasses all comprehension will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus" (4:6-7). Many want to blame their unhappiness and lack of peace on others when verse seven tells us that it comes from within... There's that temptation to say. "I'd be happy if." If I had more money, time, or stuff. Happiness is within us, not around the corner. Finally, peace and prosperity is directly related to right relationships. "For the sake of my brothers and friends..... I will seek your good" No person is more miserable than the self-centered one... The good that we do for others, always rebounds back to us many fold... "So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith" (Gal.6:10). I hope that Psalm 122 has helped us all to get a better perspective about peace (happiness) and prosperity. Share it with others....

Have a great day... T G I F Thank God I'm Forgiven.... Love mark Phil.4:11
