More From Worship - Seeing Our Responsibilities

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, 'Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us? ' Then I said, 'Here am I. Send me!' " (Isa.6:8).

Finally, in this section of verses from Isaiah, God speaks. Until then, Isaiah was not ready to hear. God is looking for a special person to go to the people with His words... After all this, how could Isaiah do anything but volunteer? He was about to volunteer his service to whatever God wanted him to do. Lets be perfectly clear about something here... This was and is a call to service, obedience, and commitment. Following God and doing His will is just that commitment. So... What does all of this have to do with getting the most out of worship, you ask... Maybe we look at worship each Lord's Day as a "production" that we are about to pull off. Some songs, a few prayers, the Lord's Supper, a sermon, and a time of giving, all pulled off for our benefit. What Isaiah saw that day was TRUE WORSHIP. Why? Because Isaiah really saw God for who he was, and himself by comparison... He also saw God's great mercy. What Isaiah saw, changed him forever... "Here am I... Send me!" When worshipers themselves change, REAL WORSHIP will take care of itself. Perhaps the next time we worship, all of this will come together for us....

Have a great day... T G I F Thank God I'm Forgiven.... Love mark Phil.4:11
