What Is Your Life... A Preparation

"What is your life?" (Jas.4:14)... "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me" (Jn.14:6).

Life is a series of preparations, isn't it? We wake up each morning and prepare for the day ahead of us. Whether it is about what we will wear, what we will eat. or what activities we will participate in, there is always some kind of preparation going on. Lets face it, life should be all about preparation and service. When we look at the whole panorama of life, it is a period of time spent in preparing to one day meet God. This was true also in Old Testament times when the Israelites through Amos were commanded; "Therefore this is what I will do to you, Israel, and because I will do this to you, prepare to meet your God, O Israel" (4:11). We are all in that same mode today, as the apostle Paul writes these words; "For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad" (2 Cor.5:10). The things done while in the body is all about our preparation... Before a Broadway Show actually is viewed by the public, there are many "dress rehearsals" that get the performers ready to do the real thing in front of an audience. Each day for us is a dress rehearsal, except its for real, with God as our audience. Perhaps the very best aspect of all this is that God lets us know exactly what we must do to be prepared to meet Him one day. As Jesus states in today's verse, No one comes to the Father except through Me... Paul cuts through all the red tape when he says this; "For me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain..." (Phil.1:21). Lets just remember to live each moment of every day knowing that we are preparing to meet the Lord...

Have a great start to your week.... Begin it with a RAK or two... Love mark Phil.4:11
