Happy Thanksgiving

"I will praise you, O Lord, with all my heart; I will tell of your wonders. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing praise to your name, O Most High"  (Psa.9:1-2).

It is late autumn, and its that time of the year that we stop and think about the harvest. The farmers always stopped and looked at the bountiful harvest at the end of the long summer and gave thanks to God for helping them. We too need to stop and give thanks to God for all he has given us. We are blessed. Though everything we want may not be in our houses, we need to be thankful. Over the years, you may have guessed that my favorite book in the Bible is Philippians. The fourth (4th) chapter is special to me, and at Thanksgiving it it easy to remember Phil.4:6-7... "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication (petition) with thanksgiving let your requests be known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus."  God loves to hear us, and He gets great pleasure in receiving both our thanks and our love. He cares deeply about everything that affects our lives, so my suggestion this Thanksgiving is to talk to Him. Tell Him what is on your heart as the apostle Paul wrote in Phil.4:6-7. Why? Because he understands and wants to meet your needs. These are the words of Jesus; "Your heavenly Father already knows all your needs, and will give you all you need from day to day if you live for Him and make the Kingdom of God your primary concern"  (Matt.6:32-33). On this Thanksgiving Day, lets think of His awesome deeds. Lets rejoice and be thankful to Him and bless His name. Give thanks to Him for He is good and His mercy is everlasting. Great is the love of our God, so on this day, lets give thanks....

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving Day....    Love                            mark                                   Phil.4:11
